London’s Jenny Jones is looking for a Hometown Hero.
Do you have an idea for something that would benefit the London community? Jenny is looking for the best way to use her gift to benefit her hometown.

  • Funding will be made through the Jenny Jones Foundation.
  • Please review the guidelines before submitting your idea.
  • Deadline for suggestions is Sept. 15th, 2015


  • You must be a Canadian citizen and a current London, Ontario resident of at least 5 years.
  • The Jenny Jones Foundation will not make cash donations.
  • The funds must be used to pay directly for the project chosen.

Can I submit more than one idea?
No. We are accepting only one suggestion per person.

Are there any age restrictions?
No, there are no age restrictions.

How do I know how much my idea will cost?
You may have to do some research. We are depending on you for a fairly accurate budget so we know your idea is feasible.

When will I know if my idea is being considered?
You will be contacted within 30 days if your suggestion is being considered so we can gather more details about your idea.

Can I do this anonymously?
Yes, but the idea is to highlight a local hometown person for coming up with a great idea to benefit the community, and it’s very likely that you would be featured in the press so it would be better if you’re comfortable with that.

What if I’m friends with some of Jenny’s family here in London?
That will not matter. Only Jenny’s personal friends and her immediate family will be excluded.

What if I grew up with Jenny? What if we went to the same school?
As long as you have not had contact as adults, you are eligible to participate.

What kind of ideas are you looking for?
Jenny has already made philanthropic donations through her Jenny’s Heroes program where people spent her money to benefit their communities. You can get ideas by seeing how some of that money was spent by visiting However, this new project will be on a larger scale.
